After years of working in construction, Chris struggled with back pain that made everyday activities difficult. Walking, driving, playing golf, and even doing projects around the house had become painful.

His wife finally said, "We can't live this way." It was time to find relief.

Since completing our Spinal Disc Revitalization Program at North Myrtle Beach Chiropractic, Chris says he's back to enjoying walks, swinging his golf club, driving comfortably, and tackling projects around the house.

"The procedures the doctor does here really helped me. It's improved my quality of life quite a bit. I can do a lot more stuff than I used to."

Chris's advice to others struggling with back pain?

"Don't feel nervous. You deserve to be out of pain."

Back and neck pain rarely involve just one issue. A damaged disc may irritate a nerve, joints may lose mobility, surrounding tissues may become painful, and weakened muscles may struggle to support your spine.

That’s why lasting progress often takes more than one type of treatment.

Our Advanced Spinal Disc Revitalization Program brings together advanced technology, hands-on care, and rehabilitation.

Each treatment has a distinct purpose, and together they allow us to address multiple factors contributing to your pain and limited movement.

The Power of a Comprehensive Spinal Program

 Chiropractic Care

Uses personalized adjustments to improve movement and address restrictions in the spine, pelvis, and other joints. We select techniques based on your condition to help you move more comfortably and function more efficiently. Explore our chiropractic services .

Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression

Gently stretches the spine to reduce pressure on discs and irritated nerves. This controlled treatment may help selected patients with disc-related back pain, neck pain, and symptoms that travel into the arms or legs. Learn more about spinal decompression .

Softwave Therapy

Delivers powerful acoustic waves into targeted tissues to help relieve pain and stimulate the body’s natural healing responses. Research is also exploring how shockwave therapy may influence stem cell activity and recruitment, although disc regeneration has not been established. Learn more about SoftWave Therapy .

Class IV Medical Laser Therapy

Uses high-powered light energy to reach tissues beneath the skin, including deeper muscles. Laser therapy may help reduce pain and inflammation while supporting cellular processes involved in healing. Learn more about medical laser therapy .

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Spinal decompression is one part of our Advanced Spinal Disc Revitalization Program. Your personalized plan may also include gentle chiropractic care, SoftWave Shockwave Therapy, Class IV laser therapy, therapeutic exercises, and other supportive treatments.

By combining therapies that address different contributors to your pain, we offer a comprehensive approach that goes beyond spinal decompression or chiropractic adjustments alone.

Is this program just spinal decompression?

Do you treat both back pain and neck pain?

Yes! Our Advanced Spinal Disc Revitalization Program offers personalized care for both the lower back and neck. We treat patients with back pain, sciatica, neck pain, and disc-related conditions, including herniated, bulging, and degenerative discs in the lumbar and cervical spine.

Your doctor will evaluate your condition and recommend the combination of chiropractic care and advanced therapies best suited to your needs.

Can SoftWave help with back or neck pain?

In our practice, we’ve seen patients experience substantial relief from back and neck pain with SoftWave. Some notice significant pain relief during their first treatment, while others improve over a series of visits. Your response depends on your condition, how long you’ve been experiencing symptoms, and other individual factors.

Within our Advanced Spinal Disc Revitalization Program, we use SoftWave to address painful soft tissues alongside treatments that target other concerns, such as pressure on spinal discs and nerves. This combination allows us to personalize your care beyond adjustments alone.

Does SoftWave activate stem cells?

Shockwave research suggests it may activate and recruit your body’s own stem cells to support tissue repair. These cells are part of your body’s built-in repair team, releasing signals that help coordinate healing and regulate inflammation.

That’s why our goal with SoftWave goes beyond pain relief: we use it to support your body’s natural repair process.

If previous care hasn’t provided lasting relief, it’s understandable to wonder what could be different this time. Our program combines personalized chiropractic care with advanced technologies to address concerns such as pressure on spinal discs and nerves, painful soft tissues, and limited mobility.

Your evaluation helps us identify the factors contributing to your ongoing pain and determine whether this approach is appropriate for you.

You may have tried chiropractic care—but that doesn’t mean you’ve experienced the advanced technologies and personalized, comprehensive care that set our program apart from a typical chiropractic office.

What if I’ve already tried chiropractic care or physical therapy?

How long does the program take?

Our Advanced Spinal Disc Revitalization Program typically includes 20 visits over 10 weeks, with treatment scheduled twice a week. Your doctor may adjust that schedule based on your condition, individual needs, and progress.

Some patients may be better suited to a more conservative approach, such as chiropractic care alone or a smaller combination of therapies, with a different treatment schedule. Your evaluation helps us determine the level of care appropriate for you.

Before you begin, we’ll explain your recommended timeline, and our team will schedule your visits so you can plan ahead and stay consistent with your care.

How much does the program cost?

Your investment depends on the care recommended for your individual condition. Following your evaluation, we’ll review your personalized treatment plan, explain the total cost, and discuss available payment options.

You’re only responsible for the cost of your initial evaluation unless you choose to move forward with care. Any additional treatment and its cost will be discussed and approved by you beforehand. There’s no pressure or obligation to begin—you decide whether to proceed and which recommended care you’re comfortable moving forward with.

Does Insurance Cover the Advanced Spinal Disc Revitalization Program?

We’re in-network with most major insurance companies. Depending on your plan, insurance may cover chiropractic care and some therapies included in your treatment plan. However, spinal decompression, SoftWave Shockwave Therapy, and Class IV laser therapy are not covered by insurance.

We understand that comprehensive care is an investment in your health. For appropriate candidates, our program provides a personalized, non-surgical approach before considering more invasive treatment. Even when insurance covers spinal surgery, additional expenses may include rehabilitation, medications, time away from work, and follow-up care. Learn more about the often-overlooked costs of spinal surgery as you consider your next step.

Our comprehensive program is priced as a package, offering savings compared with receiving each treatment separately. We also offer flexible payment options, including CareCredit financing, subject to credit approval and financing terms.

We’ll review your benefits and explain your expected costs before you begin your recommended care.
